On Saturday 2nd September 2017 local elite runner Pete Roper will be running all 18 miles of Chesil Beach.
Eighteen miles, 180 billion pebbles. Pete’s motivation stems from his battle with mental illness, turning this into a positive, to raise money for Clasp, a mental health charity which supports people at their most vulnerable time.
The Trinity Practice be supporting Pete, ensuring that he remains injury free through out his training and able to complete this epic challenge at the peak of his ability.
Running from West Bay, statring on the small pea shingle and ending at Chiswell Village on Portland, Pete will be unsupported. Seven miles of this will be cut off from land, with sea on either side.
Inspired by an old newspaper cutting from 1963, we hope this will be the first officially measured attempt.
